The intent of SkyNet’s inspection is to determine that the systems, components, or items of your home are performing their function without apparent major deficiencies. Evaluation and reporting of minor, easily correctable, or cosmetic defects and deficiencies is not the intent or focus of our inspection process. Please note that it is not within the scope of this inspection to attempt to determine or attest to the remaining life of any system or components.
Our inspection includes evaluation of certain major systems, components and equipment - including the
following:
These systems will be examined and evaluated using various tools, experience and observations of our inspectors. Also included is the basic operational testing of certain “built-in” kitchen appliances in our standard inspection performed (dishwasher / oven / range / microwave / garbage disposal). SkyNets’s inspection provides a snapshot of the home at the time of the inspection. As such the inspection is limited to what can be easily detected during a short period of time (the duration of atypical inspection being roughly 2-4 hours) making it impossible to find every defect and deficiency during an inspection.
Finally – please note that inaccessible areas cannot be inspected – these areas are defined as being concealed by: household goods, furniture, appliances, locked rooms, rugs, draperies, finished floors, ceilings, walls, stored goods, insulation, automobiles, equipment, debris, vegetation, etc.
To promote the best inspection possible please have all areas readily accessible prior to the start of the inspection.
